When the Posies play gigs, they ask local female singers to come up on a couple of songs in their set. I was the “girl singer” when they played Vashon on Jan 29th, 2019. It was a good way for me to get out of my comfort zone and do some singing. I didn’t grow up listening to them, but they were a lot of fun and very entertaining.
It’s that time of the year again for the Vashon Studio Art Tour. Pick up a map and make your way across Vashon, visiting and meeting all kinds of local artists. I will be at Fletcher Studio #7 on the map the first two weekends of December. Come by and see my latest work as well as work by Terri Fletcher, Jean Emmons, Stephanie Harlan and Joan Fritz. You can download a map to artists studios here: Click Here!
I haven’t been singing out much in the last couple of years so it was fun for me to do this show. My Pal Debra Heesch as been asking me to do the Patsy Cline Tribute show for years and she finally convinced me to do it. It was a pleasure working with all the lovely ladies and gentlemen. More singing, I hope so. Use it or lose it.
I will have a booth at the Garden Art Bazaar on June 23 & 24th at the VCA. . The Vashon Center for the Arts is the central hub of the entire Garden Tour experience. For the duration of the Garden Tour weekend, the Katherine L. White Hall at VCA will host an exemplary Art Bazaar featuring a great many local artists who will be showing and selling their artworks.

It rarely happens that Pete and I play a live show, but we are trying to say YES a little more these days. This is a concert to raise money for music programs for low income kids. Great cause.
